Parents sit at their children’s desks at Back to School Night! A good way to ‘walk a mile in their shoes…’
Nearly 300 parents came out to the school on Friday night, August 23, to go through a typical day’s routine at their child’s school. Attending each class in the same order as their child would, they spent 10- 15 mins each learning about the teacher’s expectations from their students and discussing topics like curriculum, labs, testing, etc.
On the scene talking to parents, the PTO board members explained what the PTO does and how parents can support their children and the school in various ways including volunteering. As per the PTO president, Sanjeev Gautam, there was incredible energy & enthusiasm in the air with 70+ parents signing up to volunteer for school activities. For those MSA-SC parents who haven’t had a chance yet to sign up, sign-up here: Click to volunteer .
